«Every single minute the equivalent of one dump truck full of plastic enters the ocean! That is more than 8 million tons annually and there is no sign that number is going to slow down any time soon. By 2050, it is estimated that there will be more pieces of plastic in the ocean than fish! That is a very scary thought to us here at 4Ocean, so we have made it our mission to help stem this tide of pollution by removing plastic, trash and debris from the ocean and coastlines every single day.

For the month of April, to help increase the size of our impact globally, we have partnered with the Earth Day Network to raise awareness of this growing problem and to help combat the issue first hand through our cleanups. The Earth Day Network is responsible for coordinating the observance of Earth Day in over 192 countries around the world and spearheads many amazing campaigns throughout the year to promote, diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide.

Not only will we be removing plastic from the ocean in support of Earth Day Network’s End Plastic Pollution campaign for Earth Day 2018, we are also supporting their Canopy Project which has the overall goal of planting 7.8 billion trees by the year 2020 to help combat the worst effects of global climate change. This goal coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day and represents one tree planted for every person on the planet! So, for each Limited Edition Earth Day Bracelet we sell, not only will we remove one pound of trash from the ocean, but we will also support the planting of trees as part of the Canopy Project.
